Parking & Road Closures

STREET CLOSURES

​

Wayne/Jefferson will both be closed from MLK to St. Louis. St. Louis will be closed from Jefferson to Wayne from 6:00 p.m. Friday to noon Sunday.

PARKING

​

On-street parking as well as the Wayne St., Leighton, and Main St. Garage will be free on Saturday. There will also be free parking at AM General, Crowe LLC, Peoplelink Staffing, Everwise Credit Union, and Zion Church.

 

The Century Center lot will also be available for $5. 

​

Designated handicapped parking  will be available in the Crowe LLC lot and in the AM Genreral Lot.

A Greener Art Beat

Art Beat Beat is proud to partner with the City of South Bend's Office of Sustainability to create a greener Art Beat by offering recycling and a water bottle filling station (located in the Howard Park Culinary Village); reusable water bottles are available for purchase by the water station and at the DTSB Info Booths for $5.

2024 Art Beat After Parties 

Art Beat ends at 7:00 p.m., but the downtown excitement does not! Head to these places when Art Beat is over:

4:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

LKT – located on the 3rd floor of the Lasalle Grill building – will be featuring an extension of Art Beat from 4 pm to 11 pm with live music by Buddy Pearson from 8-11 PM, and an art gallery throughout the restaurant featuring local artists’ work for sale. Bring the whole family up for dinner & drinks from our Restaurant Week menu!

After Party at Island Fusion

7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

​Island Fusion will have karaoke & the menu will consist of 5 wings & macaroni pie or fries, 5 or 10 wings, and doubles, which is our vegan friendly option.

What are the hours for Art Beat?

Art Beat runs from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

What streets are inaccessible during Art Beat?

Wayne/Jefferson will both be closed from MLK to St. Louis. St. Louis will be closed from Jefferson to Wayne.

Where are the best places to park?

On-street parking is free throughout downtown on weekends. Free parking will also be available in the Wayne & MLK Garage, Leighton Garage, Main St. Garage, the Crowe parking lot (except the small, northern lot reserved for employees), the AM General lot, the Peoplelink lot, and the Zion/Howard Park lot. Handicapped parking will be available in the Crowe lot and the AM General lot. The Century Center lot will also be available for parking for $5. See the parking map above with these parking options.

How much does it cost to attend Art Beat?

Art Beat is a free event!

Where can I find the nearest restroom?

Look for the “R” on the map to find your nearest restroom.

Can I bring my pets?

Yes, so long as they do not pose harm to other guests and remain on a leash. Please pick up after your pets as well.

Is this event accessible?

Yes, the event is wheelchair accessible.

Where can I find ATM machines?

The nearest ATMs can be found at the Everwise branch at 823 E. Jefferson Blvd and inside the Century Center. Everwise is the presenting sponsor for Art Beat.
