Festive Fall Activities Downtown!

Fill your calendar with events in downtown South Bend for all ages! Visit your favorite location or adventure somewhere new to try their fall themed event.


 

October 13: The Pigeon and The Hen from 4 pm – 6 pm sharing your joy of fall by painting a woodland mug.


October 17: St. Joseph County Public Library at 6 pm to create custom skins in Minecraft. Spook-ify your Minecraft experience with a costume skin for Halloween.


October 18: Unity Gardens presents its 8th Annual Taste of Unity Harvest Party from 5 pm – 8pm at Palais Royale.


October 19 & October 26: History Museum’s Oliver Inn hosts Mystery at the Mansion: The Show Must Go On. Participants walk through the elegant 38-room Oliver Mansion, they listen to the characters’ dialogues, with the rooms of the house as a backdrop to each scene. Details of the crime surface as the play unfolds. Tickets are limited and reservations are strongly recommended.


October 21: South Bend Brew Werks hosts BYOP! What is BYOP? Why it’s Bring Your Own Pumpkin of course! From 11 am – 8 pm South Bend Brew Werks will be hosting a pumpkin carving extravaganza! You supply the pumpkin and we supply newspaper, stencils, and pumpkin carving kits. Great family and friend activity!


October 22: St. Joseph County Public Library at 4 pm create Make and Take Monsters. Sculpt a make-believe beast using colorful, air-dry clay. What does it eat and where does it live? Stretch your imagination by making a monster! Ages 6+.


October 25: The Studebaker National Museum hosts Trunk or Treat from 5:30pm – 7pm. Calling all witches, ghouls, ghosts, and goblins to the party just for them! Explore the Studebaker National Museum during the ninth annual Trunk-or-Treat Halloween Event. There will be all kinds of treats and a spooky skeleton scavenger hunt. We’ll have a howling good time! Children up to 10 years old are invited; they must be in costume and accompanied by an adult. There is no admission fee for this event.


October 26: DTSB presents Downtown Trick or Treating and Costume Contest from 5pm – 7pm. Show off your Halloween costumes and stop in to the participating downtown businesses for candy and treats. Trick or treaters can start at any treat stop location.


October 26: The Double Tree by Hilton presents The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Show from 7pm – 10pm. America’s LARGEST interactive comedy murder mystery dinner show. At The Dinner Detective, you’ll tackle a challenging crime while you feast on a fantastic dinner. Just beware! The criminal is lurking somewhere in the room, and you may find yourself as a Prime Suspect before you know it!


October 27: The Pigeon and The Hen calls all little goblins and gouls for Potterween from 4:30 pm – 7 pm. Featuring: Halloween Sales, Costume Contest, Spooky Treats and Drinks! Plenty of Potteristas will be there to help your creations come alive!


October 27: The Century Center hosts a Mega Halloween Bash from 8pm – 3am!


October 27: The W Lounge at Woochi is hosting a Halloween Party from 9pm – 2am. There will be drink specials and a costume contest. Dress to impress!


October 29: South Bend Police Dept. presents Cops and Goblins from 5 pm – 7:30 pm. Enjoy trick or treating through Four Winds Field!


October 29: Spirited hosts an Aviation Cocktail and Costume Competition from 5pm – 10pm. Join Spirited for a fun Aviation Gin and Costume Competition!! Six finalists will compete for the winning cocktail entry as well as the people’s choice winning cocktail! There will be Aviation cocktails, samples, snacks and lots of fun!


October 30: At the St. Joseph County Public Library go on a Haunted Hunt all day! Help us find all the witches, ghosts, and other spooky creatures haunting our library! Go on a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt to find their hiding spots. A paper pumpkin craft will also be available. Ages 4+.


November 2: Cinco 5 celebrates  Day of the Dead  with Latin Night starting at 10 pm. 21+.


November 2: The Pigeon and The Hen hosts Coco a Family Fun Night! Join them to paint Sugar Skulls and Frida Khalo with special decals or create your own masterpiece!


November 2: Civil Rights Heritage Center celebrates Dia de los Muertos Celebration from 5 pm – 7:30 pm at ND Center for Arts and Culture. View ofrendas honoring the lives of those who have passed before us along with kids activities, pan de muertos (sweet bread), hot chocolate, and champurrado. The University of Notre Dame’s Ballet Folklorico will be among the performers.


November 3: Therapeutic Indulgence hosts their Autumn Social from 3 pm – 7 pm. Join us for an evening of Fun, Food & Self-Care. We will be offering our ever popular mini-services, along with a few Make & Take items to kick off your Holiday shopping!


November 4: The BEAR Reading Center hosts its Fall Festival from 10 am – 5 pm at 427 N. Main St. South Bend. Enjoy concessions, a chili cook off, cider, trunk or treat, pumpkins, a costume contest, a petting zoo, and so much more!
