Trick or Treating

Downtown South Bend will be hosting Trick or Treating for the whole family on October 26th. There will be over a dozen treat stops in downtown giving away treats and candy. Maps will be available at all participating businesses, as well as online at the bottom of this page, and by clicking here for a PDF. Trick or treaters can start at any treat stop location.

A costume contest will immediately follow at Chicory Café, from 7:00 – 7:30, with three categories based on age: 7 and under, 8 to 15, and 16 and over. New this year – a fourth category for groups! Due to space constraints, there is a limit of 20 costumes per category. Pre-registration is required and will open at Chicory Café beginning at 6:00 and continue until all spots are filled. Chicory gift cards will be awarded to the winners from each category.

We are excited to announce that the official Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile will be at this year’s event, parked on Jefferson Blvd. outside Chicory Cafe from 4:30 to 8:00 pm, and giving prizes and rides to costume contest winners!
