JUNE ACTIVITIES

Sunburst Races*

June 1 | 7 a.m.

Century Center

Sunburst Races, presented by KeyBank, is ready to welcome racers of at least 6 years of age  compete in a half marathon, 10K run, 5K run, or a 5K fitness walk!

JA Wine & Beer Festival*

June 1 | 1-4 p.m.

Four Winds Field

Enjoy your afternoon tasting alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from local and premier vendors. Also enjoy games, raffles, and live music throughout the day. All proceeds will go to support over 12,00 K-12 student experiences in St. Joseph County schools.

Blessid Union of Souls

June 1 | 8 p.m.

Stockroom East

Stockroom East is excited to welcome Blessid Union of Souls! Come watch their live concert and enjoy pre-event activities. Tickets cost $49.

Mamma Mia! *

Morris Performing Arts Center

The Morris is excited to show Mamma Mia! Come see Mamma Mia! to celebrate its 25th Anniversary Tour.

U93's Operation Duck Drop*

June 2 | 10:30 a.m.

East Race

Come join U93 at the East Race Waterway in Downtown South Bend to drop over one thousand rubber ducks into the river! The first 93 ducks collected will win different prizes! After the duck drop you can enjoy live music, raffles, and food at the Lauber.

Shortcakes on the Blacktop

June 6 | 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Cathedral of Saint James

Come celebrate the 27th annual Shortcakes on the Blacktop! The shortcakes cost $5 per serving and all proceeds will be donated to local nonprofits.

DTSB First Fridays: Kid's Night Out

June 7 | 5-9 p.m.

Downtown

Join us for the June First Friday where there will be something for kids of all ages! We will be closing the 100 & 200 blocks of S. Michigan for a block party with dining in the street, face painters, balloon artists, caricaturists, vendors, live music, art exhibits, a Studebaker Car Show, and the third annual DTSB Youth Talent Show!  

SJCPL Summer Reading Club Kickoff Event

June 7 | 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Main Library

Come celebrate the start of the Summer Reading Club at the Main Library! Enjoy many activities, food trucks, and live music.

Movies at the Morris: Singing in the Rain*

June 7 | 7 p.m.

Morris Performing Arts Center

Movies at the Morris Presents:  “Singin’ In the Rain” on Friday, June 7 at 7:00 pm. A silent film star falls for a chorus girl just as he and his delusionally jealous screen partner are trying to make the difficult transition to talking pictures in 1920s Hollywood. Tickets are required for this free event.

Come to the East Race and enjoy three days of fun on the water! Each day has its own designated events and on Saturday there will be three races for people to compete in. So come enjoy the water and cheer on the racers!

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services Stand by Me Walk*

June 8 | 9 a.m.

Howard Park

Come walk and support the Alzheimer's and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana. All proceeds go towards caregivers and helping them care for loved ones with Alzheimer's and dementia.

African American Legacy Award Juneteenth Luncheon*

June 11 | 12-1:30 p.m

History Museum

Come celebrate Dé Bryant, Ph.D. at the Juneteenth Luncheon. She is the recipient of The History Museum’s 2024 African American Legacy Award.

Blippi - Wonderful World Tour*

June 12 | 6 p.m.

Morris Performing Arts Center

Blippi is coming to South Bend, Indiana for the ultimate curiosity adventure in Blippi: The Wonderful World Tour! So, come on! Dance, sing, and learn with Blippi and special guest Meekahas they discover what makes different cities unique and special. Will there be monster trucks, excavators, and garbage trucks galore? You bet! So get ready to shake those wiggles out and OJ Twist your way through this brand-new musical party!

Pulse FM: We are Messengers*

June 14 | 8 p.m.

Morris Performing Arts Center

Pulse FM’s Downtown Summer Series kicks off each concert with a Party on the Plaza. Plaza opens at 5 PM, so plan to come early for live music and entertainment, food trucks, and more! All tickets are $30.00 (plus fees) OR VIP @ $100.00 (plus fees).

DTSB Outdoor Film Series: Space Jam

June 15 | 7 p.m.

Gridiron

Bring your picnic blanket, chairs, and snacks and come watch "Space Jam" with us! The movie will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. There will be pre-movie activities starting at 7 p.m.

Leeper Park Art Fair

June 15-16 | Sat. 10-6 p.m.

South Bend Civic Theatre presents William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night*

Come celebrate the East Race Waterway's 40th birthday! 

Raffaella Ballet*

June 29-30 | Sat. 7:30 p.m.

Morris Performing Arts Center

Raffaella is a new fairytale ballet commissioned by the Stroik family, in memory of their daughter, Raffaella Stroik. Inspired by her life, this all-new full-length ballet follows the lineage of classical ballets such as Giselle and The Sleeping Beauty and seeks to embody Raffaella’s motto, “Beauty will save the world.” Featuring a new score by neo-traditional composer Michael Kurek, new choreography by former New York City Ballet Soloist Claire Kretzschmar, the artists of the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, and a corps of professional dancers from across the nation, Raffaella is set to be unmatched in scope and history.

DTSB First Fridays: Disco Fever

Gridiron

August First Fridays will have a totally rad, "Totally 80s" theme! There will be many activities and games including  a roller rink in the middle of the 100 block of S. Michigan St. for a Totally 80s Roller Skating Party with the South Bend Roller Derby!

Movies at the Morris: Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom*

 DTSB Art Beat presented by Everwise Credit Union

Jefferson Bridge and East Bank

Come walk the streets of downtown South bend and visit the free, family-friendly event to see the hand-crafted work of many local artists including potters, painters, photographers, jewelers, crocheters, woodcarvers, and many more. You can also come and enjoy the many different kinds of food that the region has to offer.

Taste of Hope Fundraiser for Cultivate*

Come support Cultivate's mission of rescuing food and providing food to community members at the Taste of Hope fundraiser! Also learn about the exciting future planned for Cultivate!

South Bend Symphony: Salute to Freedom*

Morris Performing Arts Center

The South Bend Symphony Orchestra celebrates our country’s independence with the Shein Trust Community Series season “Salute to Freedom” concert. Under the baton of Music Director Alastair Willis, the Orchestra will once again captivate audiences with patriotic tunes, tributes to the armed forces, and popular songs performed by South Bend’s Danny Lerman. Thanks to Shein Trust’s generous support, this family-friendly concert is a free ticketed event.

Mural Mania

Four Winds Field

The 9-hole, 27-shot experience will take you all around Four Winds Field, right in the heart of downtown South Bend. Play your way clockwise around the concourse and into the stands, hitting balls onto the field from different elevations. This event is open to individuals ($25 for 9 holes) and foursomes ($90 total for 9 holes).
