Paying For Garage and Surface Lot Parking

All garages take cash payment via payment machine or booth attendant. The machines can give change (quarters) but only in limited amounts. Parkers are encouraged to have 1's and 5's ready to avoid receiving change in quarters. To simplify your exit, it is recommended that you pre-purchase tokens from the Main Ampco Office 126 N. Main Street (232-3843). Should you have a problem parking in a garage, most of them have intercom systems at the gates that allow you to communicate with the AMPCO office (downtown parking management company) 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

In order to park in a surface lot, you must manually insert money into a metal payment box on the site. Parking spaces in the lots are numbered and they correspond to deposit slot numbers on the payment box. The boxes are checked regularly for payment by Ampco employees and parking tickets are issued for non-payment accordingly.
