March 15, 2010 — Nomination open for Southhold Preservation and South Bend Pride of Place Awards
South Bend, IN: The Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend and St. Joseph County (HPC) and Downtown South Bend, Inc. (DTSB) are pleased to announce that they are now accepting nominations for their respective Southhold Preservation Awards and South Bend Pride of Place Awards to be presented at an upcoming combined event.
The Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend and St. Joseph County will celebrate Historic Preservation Month in May 2010 by recognizing and presenting an award to businesses or persons who have made notable achievements in the area of historic preservation, historic restoration, or adaptive re-use of a historic building or site.
At the same time, Downtown South Bend, Inc. and the City of South Bend will recognize the outstanding efforts of those in the community who through skill and determination have given value and meaning to Downtown South Bend through outstanding design. Nominations will be accepted in the following categories: New Downtown Construction, Tenant/Owner Façade Improvement, Interior Tenant Improvements and Public Art.
This is the first year these organizations have teamed up to present both awards at one joint event. Between now and March 31, 2010, nominations are being accepted for both Southhold Preservation Awards and South Bend Pride of Place Awards.
