First Fridays Reception Friday for Henderika Akkerman and Hank Mascotte June 1, 5-9pm
May 21, 2012 — Artpost will be hosting a First Friday reception for South Bend artists Henderika (Henni) Akkerman and Hank Mascotte on June 1st, from 5-9 pm. Henderika’s abstract monoprints, paintings and collages are celebrations of color and form. Hank’s detailed botanical prints on rice paper are inspired by a series of visits to Maui, Hawaii.
Henni and is a member of the Michiana Calligraphy Guild and Northern Indiana Artists. She has a BA in Fine Art from Indiana University South Bend and a Masters Degree in Fine Art from the University of Notre Dame.
Hank Mascotte has created sculptures and liturgical pieces for churches and religious institutions throughout his career. Educated at the University of Notre Dame, he graduated in 1968 with a Masters Degree in Fine Art.
