Seeking South Bend Stars to Perform at Downtown South Bend's First Friday on May 4
April 12, 2012 — April 12, 2012 – Are you a star willing to showcase your talent? Downtown South Bend, Inc. (DTSB) is seeking area acoustic musicians, bands, poets and karaoke performers looking to shine during First Fridays on May 4 with a theme of South Bend Stars. Performances will take place from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m.
Acoustic musicians will perform at Ciao’s Italian Restaurant. Bands will rock out on the College Football Hall of Fame Gridiron. In the event of inclement weather, performances will be inside the College Football Hall of Fame. Performance sets are 20 minutes each.
Main Street Coffee House will host spoken word allowing 15 minutes in the spotlight per artist. Bruno’s Pizza will provide karaoke for all ages. Performers may sign up in advance for one song.
Interested performers must send an email to Kellirae Boann at kboann@gmail.com by April 16. Please include the performance genre in the subject line. Performers will be contacted the week of April 23 with exact details including scheduled performance time.
Performances will be free and open to the public. First Fridays Downtown South Bend features over 40 participating businesses and takes place from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the first Friday of every month throughout the year. For more information, visit www.dtsbFirstFridays.com.
