About
Downtown South Bend is celebrating all things Disney this month with a special Disney Downtown theme this First Fridays. We will have a Disney Character Crawl with Disney characters available at various downtown businesses for Meet & Greets throughout the evening, Disney Karaoke at South Bend Brew Werks, Disney crafts at Chicory, Disney-themed drinks at Woochi, and a special contest to win tickets to Disney's Aladdin the Musical coming to the Morris!

Visitors are encouraged to dress as their favorite Disney character to receive discounts and deals at participating businesses, including 10% off at Cinco 5 and a free hot cocoa for costumed kids at Barnaby's! Plus there Plus, as always, enjoy live music, art exhibits, dining specials, and much more. Check out all the details below!

Snowball Fight with Disney Characters
The Gridiron
4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Enjoy a good old-fashioned snowball fight on the Gridiron (fake snowballs will be used if there is no real snow.) From 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. the Disney Characters will be joining in before they head to their Character Crawl locations!

We welcome one of our newest First Fridays participants - Soma Pole Studio! They are located near Fire Arts and are a minority-owned studio that is seeking to build individual and community power through pole dance. They provide quality pole instruction and a welcoming atmosphere for all of their students.

They will be featuring an Intro to Pole Class every First Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for $22. Registration is required and can be done on their website.

The Drop Comedy Club is located in the Aloft Hotel and features amazing comedy shows every Friday and Saturday night! This First Fridays they will have headliner Brandon Kieffer, featuring Cavin Eggleston. DTSB will be featuring a contest on their Facebook page for a pair of free tickets to the Friday night show.

Enjoy an evening of Disney music while ice skating at the Howard Park Ice Trail & Pond with skate sessions starting at 3:00 p.m., 5:00p.m., 7:00p.m., and 9:00p.m. They encourage skaters to dress up in Disney attire and their skate staff will be doing the same. Merrimans' Playhouse will be celebrating the Grand Opening of "Culture Cafe" this First Fridays - a coffee house experience they describe as – “Bohemia After Dark,” celebrating our common humanness through our different cultures, cultivating awareness through the arts, music, the humanities, literature, philosophy, and discussion, while sharing the joy of these moments with coffee, gelato, affogato, soups, paninis, and other specialty food items.

They will also have a concert by Paul Hecht & Friends 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at this link and are $10 general admission and $5 for students.

Visit the South Bend Museum of Art on First Fridays for extended hours and free admission! This month they will be featuring a sneak peek at the 2024 Scholastics Art Awards!

Live @ Aloft in the WXYZ bar will feature DJ Outlaw playing your favorite tunes. Live @ Aloft features local artists, groups or DJs playing music every Friday from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the WXYZ lounge.

The WXYZ bar also has "Cocktails for a Cause" with $1 from every cocktail for a cause sold donated to their featured charity of the month. Also take advantage of their First Fridays special - buy 1 flatbread pizza and get a 2nd flatbread pizza at 1/2 off.
